Game Description

Navigate the war-torn lands of Heian period Japan in this FTL-style roguelike where you’ll make tough choices in randomized events, fight off a dangerous yokai army in tactical, turn-based hex combat, and recruit powerful allies to defeat the bloodthirsty sorceress Takiyasha.

Role: Lead Designer

  • Led design on the indie PC game side project, The Wind and Wilting Blossom
  • Owned and delineated game visions into design documents for all game systems such as RPG stats, gameplay, and combat mechanics
  • Worked with writer to weave story and content through NPC dialog, enemies, scripted events, and engaging system design to drive progression and engagement
  • Owned artistic vision and directed art asset creation to ensure project aesthetics and technical requirements are maintained
